Supported Beginnings

As a Certified Doula , I assist a woman during one of the most unforgettable events of her life
...the birth of her baby.
I work as a personal labor assistant, never leaving from active labor until the baby is born.

From my experience and training,
I regard pregnancy and childbirth as a normal,
healthy achievement for a woman.
It's a physical, emotional and spiritual journey
to travel with awareness, trust and love.

During labor and birth, I assist the partner or other support person, in their style of
encouraging the mother.

I want the combined contributions
of the support person and doula, along with a
competent and caring midwife or doctor to give the woman an empowering, satisfying experience.

For nearly fourteen years I’ve had the privilege of assisting birthing families in hospitals, birth centers and homes in the greater Philadelphia area, including Bucks, Chester, Lehigh, Lancaster and Montgomery Counties.
